This is my weather station page. I have a La Crosse 2317EL weather station . The data collecting portion is mounted on the fence in my back yard (the small white box at the bottom of the conduit pipe - located on the fence post) and the console (base station) and interface to my computer is located inside the house.

The remote weather station and the base station are linked together by a radio signal. The data is retrieved from the base station by a program called Weather Display which helps to create all the reports you see below. The data is collected from the station in the backyard once every minute. The reports are updated every 5 minutes.
I hope you enjoy keeping an eye on our local weather as much as I do.
One other interesting fact: the abbreviation "wx" is used in amateur radio to stand for the word "weather".
